Job Description:
The Vice President, Sales is BestIT's principal executive responsible for achieving our ambitious goals in the managed IT services and professional IT services segments. The VP Sales is responsible for the development and implementation of the corporate sales and marketing strategic plans, and the development and attainment of specific sales goals relative to advances in market share, demand generation, sales strategy, sales management, sales delivery, partnering and alliances, product mix, and profitability. The VP Sales will design, build, and manage the corporate sales department, and serve on appropriate corporate executive committees. The VP Sales reports to the Chief Operating Officer
Along with the CEO, COO and CFO, the VP Sales will play a leadership role in identifying and realizing the strategic vision and also the day-to-day requirements in the Company which will realize its growth through its sales and marketing activities; therefore skill level and experience must be significant to support the assigned responsibility. The VP Sales will lead and drive all of the Company's initiatives in the sales departments including Sales Management, Customer Service, New Account Acquisition, Business Development, Partnership/Channel Sales and Marketing, Strategic Relationships and work cooperatively with the marketing and communications group on Marketing Operations, Branding, Public Relations, Media, Commercial and Retail Marketing.
Required Experience:
The successful candidate will likely have:
• A great understanding and sense for IT Operations, datacenter operations, outsourcing, and Managed Hosting, and good knowledge of Saas, Cloud Computing, and other emerging IT market potentials
• Ability to build and manage an exceptional sales and marketing team in support of the strategic objectives
• 10+ years experience in executive sales and marketing leadership and applicable accomplishments with IT service providers and software firms
The successful candidate will be a creative, energetic sales management expert with high business acumen. Accomplishments must include sales and marketing programs and successes in emerging IT markets, with a focus on service providers.
Must have:
• Must show proven past performance aligning sales and marketing organizations with a demonstrable "will to manage" and set standards, be critical and sit in judgment.
• Must be an Agent of Change, creatively responding to changing competitors, services, technologies, markets and customers
• Lead generation traditional and on-line success at driving quality leads including lead assessment, lead nurturing and lead close
• An in-depth understanding of brand architecture and brand management disciplines
• Track record of thriving in fast paced and cross-functional business environments, and of over-delivering against stretch targets
• Experience with sales budgets, P&L, and forecasting required
• Excellent analytical skills, with great attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively across functions, with minimal direction (self-starter)
• Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner at all levels throughout company
• Must be comfortable within a high-paced, competitive environment
• Strong business person who thinks about issues from a business perspective; brings strong business and financial acumen to the role and uses this to complement his/her functional depth
• Solution sales and/or consultative sales at the CEO level
• Ability to guide the sales organization through a period of extremely high growth
