Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Global Supply Chain in our Scottsdale, AZ location. In this role you are responsible for strategically directing and executing the global Sales and Operations Planning process for the global FMIC business, resulting in the company’s ability to maximize sales and profits while effectively managing inventory across the global distribution network. This role will work across Sales and Marketing Management to determine manufacturing and off-shore manufacturing production requirements through the development and execution of supply requirements and fulfillment strategies for all FMIC supply sources while meeting the business inventory goals. As a leader of FMIC’s Global Supply Chain team, this role is responsible for establishing the strategic direction focused on improving responsiveness to customer demands through the optimization of capacity resources, working cross-functionally with FMIC Manufacturing, Global Sourcing, Procurement and Quality, Finance, Marketing and Sales departments with the goals of maximizing supply source output, customer fill-rates and inventory turns. As a key member of FMIC Global Supply Chain team, you will work proactively with the marketing, sales, planning, quality departments and executive management to understand business requirements, identify opportunities where supply chain optimization strategies can add value for the long-term. This role will require close coordination with finance and accounting to achieve measurable year-over-year targets for service levels, inventory utilization and business satisfaction metrics. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain. Additional responsibilities include leading the corporate S&OP process ensuring monthly planning calendar requirements are met supporting the company operating plan. Leading and managing the demand planning and production requirements of finished goods globally. You’ll establish, direct and communicate continuous improvement initiatives focused on key business measures including in-stock, service levels and inventory utilization. Partner with R&D, Marketing and Sourcing & Purchasing in support of the company’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. You will need to understand, monitor and communicate key purchasing trends and cost drivers which contribute the company’s finished goods costs and to assure an adequate supply of the highest quality of finished goods and lowest reasonable costs. Develop reliable processes to ensure high efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain Planning elop, monitor and control departmental operating d the Supply Chain planning team in the hiring, skill development, performance evaluation, and professional development for staff. Requirements: * BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or similar. Master’s degree preferred * APICs certification is a plus * Extensive understanding of broad Global Supply Chain competencies including purchasing, capacity planning across the value chain, inventory management * Solid working knowledge of best practice, planning and purchasing systems * Strong background in Supply Chain Planning systems (SAP, JDA, Logility, Manugistics) * In depth understanding of SAP or similar ERP technologies * Proven ability to lead a team, in continually developing professional roles and responsibilities and implementing effective improvements across the department and organization to maximize efficiencies of the corporate S&OP business process * Proven operational experience and change management in a fast-growing business environment, including a strong track record in meeting expectations and delivering on commitments * Travel requirements of this role are International and up to 20% travel a year.
