Test Engineer
Coordinate activities in the Test Lab. This includes making sure schedules for various tests are met and are performed correctly for both internal and external customers. Design and coordinate the manufacture of required test fixtures. Responsible for setting schedules and performing qualification tests for customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule and coordinate outside lab testing of connectors.
Interfaces with customers for qualification testing and failure analysis.
Review & sign-off Engineering Change Notices
Creates and installs test programs for the auto testers.
Evaluates and qualifies new test equipment for the test lab.
Generates qualification reports
Generates failure analysis reports.
Reviews and evaluates customer specifications and requirements for accept/reject of non-conforming material
Dispositions non-conforming material
Performs and or conducts qualification tests for Jerrik products in compliance to customer requirements.
Supervises setup of burn-in and thermal shock for production testing.
Supervises and schedules the daily activities of the test lab technician.
Designs, fabricates and builds test boxes and adapters for the auto testers as well as for tests performed in the test lab. Selects and orders components required in the manufacture of these test fixtures.
Inspects and ensures the safe construction and set-up of equipment in the test lab.
Performs general maintenance on test and production equipment.
Develops and implements procedures and instructions as part of Jerrik quality manual to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Performs other quality department duties and functions as required.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
3-5 years experience in electronics manufacturing with extensive knowledge of capacitors.
Specific Job Skills, Specialized Knowledge or Certifications
Solidworks experience or similar cad software experience preferred.
Ability to read schematics and Engineering Drawings.
Ability to program autotesters.
Excellent computer skills using data base and spreadsheet programs.
Experience working with requirements of ISO 9001 and AS 9100
Ability to motivate and train employees.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Residency . ITAR Sensitive Position
