SAP is the global market leader for business software and thus contributes a considerable part of the world's economic power grid. At SAP you get your chance to put your ideas into action with maximum impact. -Act as Information Development owner of one module or other subject matter area -Act as lead user interface texts and terminology expert -Review, research, edit, and provide recommendations for the user interface texts -Work closely with other information developers as well as product owner and development -Validate the user interface texts before translation and release to customer ? Maintain terminology and edit glossary definitions in SAP's terminology database, SAP term ? Edit some documentation written by non-native speakers of English ? Creating and delivering Help documentation and Built-In Learning content in English for selected topics -At least 3 years' experience as an English technical writer and/or translator -Experience of researching and maintaining terminology -Experience of documentation methodologies such as the SAP info design and/or task orientation -Familiarity with the SAP standards and guidelines for writing -Experience of working in an international team -Professional experience in technical writing or development of training materials is an advantage. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
-University degree in Technical Writing, IT/Economics, or a language-based university degree
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner -SAP product knowledge is an advantage -Proven technical writing abilities -Keen interest in linguistic problems -Proactive, taking initiative and following through -Track record of excellence in your chosen field -English native speaker preferred (a good knowledge of German is an advantage)
