Engine & Control Systems (E&CS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the igniters, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.
This is a Quality Engineering position with the primary responsibilities for the following tasks
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide Quality Engineering support in our Hamilton Sundstrand Phoenix facility. This position would report to HS Program Quality manager for the Pratt and Whitney East Hartford customer. This position would serve as an on-site interface with the HS Phoenix Business Enterprise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Driving investigations and resolving non-conformances and potential escapes by utilizing industry and UTC investigation tools and practices
- Aligning investigation data between both sites
- Participating in Manufacturing Process Reviews and PFMEA's
- Supporting weekly CAB activity
- Facilitating process improvements
- Ensuring implementation of robust corrective actions and verifying the effectiveness of those actions
- Validation that corrective actions have been driven across programs
- Acting as liaison between Engineering, Purchasing and Suppliers
- Actively participating in supplier quality meetings
- Best suited for a self motivated individual with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- An effective communicator and willingness to identify and offer solutions for problems is essential
- Positive "can do" attitude with a passion for continuous improvement is a must

- Prefer candidate with thorough understanding of electronics manufacturing and electronic engine controls
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a thorough understanding of ACE tools preferred
