Job Description: Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems'' device specification and yield problems'' minor redesign of devices and masks'' analysis of customer returns'' and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints. Storage is a growth business and comprises one of the three key pillars, along with servers and networking, for the Intel Data Center Group. The Storage Group is responsible for our business strategies targeting traditional enterprise storage customers, the emerging small medium business and home storage markets, and server direct attach storage (DAS) technologies. The group is also developing future growth strategies around Cloud storage and NVM products and technologies.
The small medium business and home storage segments have grown significantly over the last three years. IDC predicts this market to grow 76% over the next five years. The Storage Group seeks a Product marketing Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for marketing the small medium business and home storage line of platforms. This would include product strategy, positioning, pricing and selling the platforms to customers. This role provides an opportunity to work in a smaller team environment and operate more like a start-up making quick decisions and creating exciting new product strategies.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -Strategic analysis of roadmap platforms -Ensure optimal platform positioning -Work with other groups to coordinate and develop pricing strategy -Work with field teams to ensure that we have all necessary platform collaterals -Creating design win material for roadmap products -Assist in co-marketing roadmap platform with customers -Develop exciting customer demos for worldwide conferences and events Recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Engineering discipline. Prefer knowledge in storage, microprocessor, or computer technology.
Desire the ability to grasp technology specifications. Knowledge of marketing principles to promote, position and drive product differentiation. Technical background, customer collaborations, internships or equivalent co-op related experience is a plus.
