Banfield, The Pet Hospital has an immediate opening for a Senior Regional HR Manager in Phoenix, AZ.
The primary purpose and function of the Senior Regional HR Manager is to serve as the strategic partner to designated management teams contributing expert people knowledge to the development and implementation of business strategy, direction, and the successful management of all change initiatives. This role focuses on significant issues critical to the organizations success including: developing key business strategies, talent management, organization design and development, recruitment and selection, talent management (including performance management, succession planning, development planning), and associate engagement.
The Senior Regional Human Resources Manager will manage approximately 3500-4000 associates in 200 locations and must be committed to 30-50% travel.
Responsibilities:
Direct the HR function for two regions (approximately 200 locations) including Hospitals in AR, NV, TX, UT, AL, MS, & FL Oversee and help drive associate engagement for the regions. Model and promote organizational values and behaviors, including our Five Principles Guide, train and direct business partners on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and corporate compliance Lead and support the execution of annual HR processes such as talent and compensation reviews and succession planning discussions Diagnose performance concerns/opportunities within the regions to identify root cause, offering effective and holistic solutions Partner with solution centers and shared services to deliver highest level of support to business partners Provide direct coaching and consultation to the field organization to build and develop greater organizational capability Support and lead, where appropriate, the investigation process of medium and high risk concerns, analyzing organizational health issues, consulting on solutions/follow up Analyze, benchmark and react, where applicable, to financial, operational and HR metrics to drive results Assess regional organizational needs, offering solutions guided by Central Team Support practices Partner and advise on regional people initiatives in support of the talent pipeline, including attraction, development, engagement Guide effective succession and retention planning efforts Lead and support regions through change Support the effective on-boarding of new leaders to the region
