Job Description: Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process and training. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining of manufacturing equipment. In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. The Manufacturing Technician may be responsible for as the trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals. May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work . What you can expect: Some positions require the ability to work on a compressed work week schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week. There are four shifts which include S/M/T every other W days (Shift 5); Th/F/S every other W days (Shift 7); Su/M/T every other S nights (Shift 4); and W/Th/F every other S nights (Shift 6). Candidate must also be able to work in a clean room environment, wearing gowns, including hoods, booties and safety glasses and gloves. Qualifications: You must possess an Associate of Science degree in an engineering related discipline or a BS in a physical science, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics.
Additional Qualifications include: -Demonstrate experience in electronics and digital circuitry. -Demonstrate experience of basic math, chemistry, biology or physics. Demonstrate experience with end user computer skills and navigation.
