Regional Sales Manager
At present we have excellent Regional Sales Manager (RSM) opportunity leading Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sales in the Northwest, and South Central regions. The RSM is responsible for driving A&D sales in each geography covered. RSMs report directly to an Arrow Zeus Director of Sales and matrixes to the Areas Sales Director and General Managers in the region.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Direct management responsibility for FSRs within assigned geography
Assist FSRs in developing and implementing account strategies to drive execution and increase market share
Increase management presence in customer base and expand high-level customer relationships
Owns large quote strategy for assigned geography
Recruits and develops staff with coaching, feedback, goal setting, performance management , development and succession planning - Building the bench
Manage FSR’s accountability monthly and quarterly for attainment of performance metrics; Deep Dive (I.e., NSB, GP%, Design Win’s) and take appropriate corrective action.
Identify and drive new business opportunity with Value-Add Services, Cross-selling, Supply Chain Programs, etc.
Builds influential relationships with strategic suppliers
Actively participate in supplier reviews and drive supplier initiatives in each market (EB) with City Manager. (GM, GSM, ASD)
Collect and leverage competitive data to continuously evaluate landscape, gaining in-depth knowledge and understanding of customer base and supplier intelligence
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and proficient in PC and related systems
- 3-5 years strategic sales management experience
- 10+ years Aerospace and Defense sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on strategic sales initiatives
- Exceptional influencing, leadership and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to provide direction, motivate and develop an A&D sales team
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Travel - 60% travel
