WHY PHOENIX?
Things are different in the desert. The sky is bigger. The stars are brighter. The sunsets stop you in your tracks.
It s a feeling that can t be conjured, landscaped or kindled with twinkling bulbs. John Ford knew that. So did Frank Lloyd Wright. Come to Greater Phoenix and you ll understand, too.
America s fifth-largest city still has real cowboys and rugged mountains and the kind of cactus most people see only in cartoons. Phoenix is the gateway to the Grand Canyon, and its history is a testament to the spirit of puebloans, ranchers, miners and visionaries.
Projected against this rich backdrop is a panorama of urban sophistication: Resorts and spas that drop jaws and soothe souls. Stadiums and arenas worthy of the world s biggest sports spectacles.
Restaurants with inspired cuisine and inspiring patio views. Golf courses that beckon players the year round. Shopping centers as stylish and eclectic as the fashions they house.
In Greater Phoenix, you'll find everything from world-class hotels, resorts and fine dining to exhilarating adventure, breath-taking golf courses, trendy shopping, modern nightlife and enriching culture.
Don't be surprised if you begin dreaming of making Phoenix your home. You wouldn't be the first and certainly won't be the last. More than allure surrounds our desert metropolis; a combined promise of economic opportunity and quality living convinces more than 50,000 people to move here each year. If you're thinking of counting yourself in, you're sure to find a welcome reception.
Greater Phoenix is a sophisticated, urban region of 3.4 million people with a marketplace valued at more than $50 billion. Our population is young, educated, multi-cultural and upwardly mobile. Our residents are as equally dedicated to hard work as they are to play. We are culturally and artistically minded. New and long-established residents alike share an appreciation of the unique land we call home.
This is Greater Phoenix, Arizona’s urban heart and America’s sunniest metropolis.
