New Business Development Manager

Overview:

Computer Guidance is looking for an experienced Software Sales Professional to sell our Financial software solutions, services and related IBM hardware for our Southern region.  Established in 1981, we have been the industry leader in our field for over two decades supporting over 500 customers that comprise the largest construction firms in North America.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:  

  • Meet all software, hardware and services revenue attainment goals within the assigned geographic territory.
  • Responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, managing and closing complex software sales opportunities.
  • Cultivate, build and manage relationships with “C” level executives, stakeholders and influencers.
  • Must be able to communicate and present complex software solutions.
  • Must be able to aggressively ‘hunt’ for new sales opportunities.
  • Must be able to organize requirements in advance for the sales engineer and assist in the overall sales strategy and preparation for detailed product demonstrations for prospective buyers.
  • Become knowledgeable about the competitive landscape and how to differentiate our solution.
  • Must be able to provide ‘post-sales’ support to recently sold customers.
  • Must be able to coordinate accurate responses and the final delivery of detailed Request for Proposals (RFP’s).
  • Must provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of selling financial accounting software solutions.
  • Former experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent oral, written, product presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills.
  • Excellent overall computer and software skills.
  • Must be a disciplined ‘self-starter’ and operate without daily supervision.
  • College degree desirable. Prefer Accounting or Finance.
  • Must have documented quota attainment and sales performance.
  • Experience working in virtual office is preferred.
