General Summary:
Under general supervision, this position maintains multiple marketing databases for client's program. This position also generates detailed marketing reports. This position is also responsible for maintenance of client's files and databases, Intranets and data integrity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains multiple databases including monitoring daily updates, verifying data integrity, backup/restore, and fixing data issues
Manage the data hygiene, data manipulation and upload of data into the system of record
Provide data analysis and database design recommendations to the Marketing Database Manager
Design, code, test, debug and document programs for the purpose of marketing processes and reports
Develop programs to integrate analysis into database structures and processes
Assist in working with team members and IT staff to ensure all database functions are working correctly
Participate in marketing segmentation projects and results
Assist in working with Marketing Management to develop the criteria and tools to net the best prospects for outbound efforts
Performs other related duties as assigned
This position provides mentoring to Marketing SQL Specialist I & II position if applicable
Job Specifications:
Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Must have 5-7 years of hands on experience with SQL Server 2000 to 2005 above and possess intermediate to advanced SQL skills
Must have knowledge of relational database environments
Detail-Oriented
Excellent problem solving skills
Self-reliant and self-directed
Ability to communicate well in narrative, tabular, and graphical form
Experience with direct marketing, list processing or email marketing a plus
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Marketing Database Specialist II or related field
