Design Director or Manager
|
Direct and lead a team of designers developing sub 1 pS jitter (femtosecond class) PureEdgeTM PLL clock products for the global Networking, High End Computing and Consumer markets. Utilize diverse technologies and features including Silicon Germanium (SiGe), 0.18 um /0.25 um CMOS / BiCMOS, up to 12 Ghz, QFN / DFN / multi chip module packaging.
Drive I.P. development, patents, and technical articles in support of new products.
Mentor junior and senior designers, building increased design and layout competency and implementing processes/methods that improve our new product introduction productivity and drive first pass success as well as decrease cycle time to money. Provide "hands on" circuit design as needed in support of critical projects.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to General Manager
Contacts and Critical Relationships:
Internal: Small company atmosphere. Participate in meetings and reviews with all levels of ON Semiconductor management. Your thoughts and ideas count in setting corporate strategies and executing on high revenue / gross margin products. Works closely with Corporate Technology and multiple groups in support of new products
External: Drive product roadmap alignment and product definition with key market making customers around the world (China, India, Japan, Korea, U.S., Europe). Linkage with ON Semi Solutions Centers and FAEs as needed. Travel is about 25% or less.
Requirements:
Leadership skills in cross-functional team environment in the Semiconductor IC industry
- Influence skills to drive business goals
- Experience in leading and influencing large, diverse design teams (internal and external)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- BSEE required, MSEE or PhD preferred
- 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed signal products including PLL/High Frequency based products, a plus
